I believe that everyone should be able to afford original artwork. I have listed a suggested price for each piece. If there is a cartoon, drawing, etc. that you would like, please email me directly. In the email, please list the title, or copy and paste the comic(s) you’d like. Let’s chat and we can broker a price that works for both of us. I’d then get shipping costs for the total amount. I accept PayPal for secure payments.
Each hand-drawn original is unframed and signed by the artist. Because these are one-of-a-kind items, I don’t use automated “Buy Now” buttons—once a piece is gone, it’s gone.
A little back history about the originals…
The majority of the original cartoons are black and white, drawn with pen and ink. Since they were used in the production process for syndication, some can be seen with white-out, corrections, creases, tears, footnotes, and so on. Basically, they showcase the “Behind the Scenes” preparation to bring a comic strip to life. Once the original is drawn, it’s taken to the print shop where reduced-sized copies are made. The copy version is then colored, scanned, touched up and formatted. Multiple copies are made as backups. Once the cartoon is sent out for syndication, these go into a special binder for future projects, such as book publication. The originals are placed in a box and stored away. You may see some of the originals in full color. This usually happens when the print company I use is closed. To meet deadline, I have to color the original. These, too, are also available for purchase.
Along with the original cartoons, we’ll also be offering original, hand-drawn Small Save action pose.
